Meet the Founders
We didn’t start with a grand philosophy. We started with two children—both ADHD and dyslexic—who simply weren’t thriving in a traditional system built for compliance over how kids actually learn. For us, choosing to homeschool wasn’t an ideological statement. It was practical love.
Val homeschooled our children for ten years. That journey took our son all the way to being recruited to play college lacrosse, and gave our daughter the space to ask for her last year of high school to experience prom and traditional graduation. Once they moved on, the curriculum guides went into a closet, seemingly finished.
Years later, our son and his wife shared that they were expecting—and that they wanted to homeschool, too. That was the spark. We realized the world had changed, but the core needs of parents hadn’t. Russ had spent decades making complex technology usable for everyday people, and as modern AI tools matured, he began showing Val what was now possible. Val’s immediate reaction—“I wish I had this back when I was homeschooling”—became the exact reason Home Education Revolution exists today.

We’ve always believed that education isn’t just preparation for life—it is life. It’s a beautifully unscripted journey of discovery, not a race to a finish line. To us, success isn’t about memorizing facts for a Friday test; it’s about helping your children discover their unique strengths, build unshakable character, and learn how to think rather than just what to think. About Parents
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or wondered if you’re “enough” to guide your child’s education, we want you to take a deep breath. You don’t need to know everything. You don’t have to be perfect, and you certainly don’t need to have all the answers. The very fact that you worry about doing right by your kids is the ultimate proof of how much you care. You are more capable than you realize, and our greatest joy is helping you walk in that confidence every day.
About the Future
The world is changing faster than ever, and many of the careers our children will step into haven’t even been invented yet. The rigid checklists of the past won’t protect them, but a lifelong love for learning and an adaptable mindset will. Our responsibility as parents isn’t to prepare our children for the world we grew up in—it’s to anchor them with the skills, faith, and character to shape the future they will inherit.
Our Vision for the Future
We envision a world where families once again become the primary environment for learning, wisdom, character, and human development. A world where parents feel confident guiding their children’s growth, where mothers and fathers are respected as their children’s first teachers, and where learning is not confined by classrooms, age, location, or circumstance.
We are not trying to create better students. We are helping families raise extraordinary children who grow into extraordinary adults—individuals who think independently, continue learning, and step into the world ready to shape it.
