The Faithful Homeschool Steward · Module 4 Kickoff
Two modules of watching turned into a Blueprint. One module of thinking turned that Blueprint into a Roadmap: Current Priorities, Future Priorities, Questions To Keep Watching, one page per child, built from evidence instead of guesswork. That’s real. It’s also, so far, still on paper.
Module 4 is where the Roadmap stops being a document and starts becoming daily life. Lesson 15, Habits, turns a priority into something small and repeatable. Lesson 16, Experiences, curates a real-world encounter no worksheet could manufacture. Lesson 17, Family Projects, hands a priority to your child to direct instead of you managing it. Lesson 18, Mentors, is about the moments you’re not the right person to fill a gap, and how to find who is.
A Roadmap that just sits there doesn’t develop anyone. Knowing what matters next isn’t the same as actually building it into a real week. This module is where a Steward’s job changes from noticing and planning to doing, four different tools for turning a known priority into a lived skill: repetition, exposure, ownership, and outside expertise. Not every priority needs all four. Most need at least one.
Before Lesson 15, write down your honest, right-now guess: what’s the one thing you personally would need to start doing, consistently, to actually support this season’s priority. Not your child’s habit. Yours.
Seal it. You’ll compare it against something at Waypoint 4 you’re not expecting yet.
Lesson 15 starts with a pep talk that doesn’t work, and a habit that does.
