Welcome. If you’re homeschooling and you’ve ever wondered whether you’re actually doing this right, this is where you start.
The Confident Teacher is a complete, self-paced curriculum built from everything we’ve written for homeschool parents — organized into a single path instead of a scattered blog archive. It’s not new content bolted onto old posts. It’s the library you already trust, arranged so it teaches something in order: how to go from unsure to confident, with proof you can point to along the way, not just a feeling.
By the end, you’ll have written your own Confident Teacher Declaration — a real, evidence-based case for your own competence, built one small exercise at a time.
What You’ll Find Here
The course is nine modules long. Each module is a short stack of foundation posts on one topic, followed by a Waypoint — a short exercise-post that turns what you just read into your own proof. Finishing a module’s Waypoint is a real graduation moment: visible confirmation you’re ready for the next concept, not just the next topic.
- 1 Opening Piece — a welcome, not a lesson
- 9 Modules, each ending in its own Waypoint (48 foundation posts + 9 Waypoints = 57 posts)
- 1 Capstone — your Confident Teacher Declaration, graduation from the whole course
- A Reference Shelf of 8 posts, organized by child’s age/stage rather than by sequence
How to Move Through It
Work through the Opening Piece first, then Module 1 straight through to its Waypoint, then Module 2, and so on — in order, at whatever pace fits your week. There’s no clock on this. If life interrupts (it will), the navigation links at the top and bottom of every post will always bring you back to exactly where you left off, or home to this page.
The Reference Shelf works differently on purpose: those 8 posts aren’t part of the sequence. Dip into them whenever they match your child’s current age or stage — there’s no wrong time to read one.
When you finish Module 9’s Waypoint and the Capstone Declaration, you’re done — with a written record of everything you’ve already learned to do well.
